Internationally Certified Mountain Guide

Holmes Pantoja

I am Holmes Pantoja, an internationally certified mountain guide with UIAGM/IFMGA certification. For over 20 years, I have been leading mountain expeditions across various countries, sharing my passion and expertise with adventurers from all over the world. In 2011, I achieved a historic feat by ascending Mount Aconcagua via the direct route of the 'Polish Glacier' in just 20 hours. To put this into perspective, this particular route typically requires significant acclimatization to the altitude and can take between 15 to 20 days to complete. In recent years, I have  been dedicated to wildlife photography, exploring hidden places, driven by my deep love for nature and a strong commitment to its conservation and promotion. Join me on an unforgettable journey to some of the world's most breathtaking summits and experience the wonders of the natural world.

OUR GUIDES

Our Guides

Henry Gonzales Pinedo
I live in the city of Tarapoto in northern Peru, and I began guiding birdwatchers in 2007. I currently work as a birdwatching guide throughout the northern, central, and southern circuits of Peru, and I also guide in Bolivia, Argentina, Ecuador, and Brazil. I have strong skills in identifying bird species by their vocalizations and knowledge of their habitats. In addition, I have knowledge of herpetology and mammals.

I have also gained other professional experiences that contributed to my development as a guide. From 2011 to 2014, I worked as a researcher and ornithology assistant with the NGO Asociación Ecosistemas Andinos (ECOAN) in the regions of San Martín and Amazonas. From 2012 to 2014, I collaborated with Thomas Arndt, a world expert on macaws (“parrots”). In 2015, with the NGO Naturaleza y Cultura Perú, I participated in the search for the endemic White-masked Antbird for conservation and ecotourism development purposes in the Loreto region.

I also have experience conducting migratory bird monitoring and bird inventories with the American Bird Conservancy and ECOAN.
