Day 1 – Arrival in Juazeiro do Norte

Arrive in Juazeiro do Norte early morning or day before. Afternoon birding in Chapada do Araripe for dry forest species. This almost one place to see impressive Araripe Manakin

Target b irds: Araripe Manakin, White-naped Jay, Stripe-backed Antbird, Caatinga Antwren

Day 2 –3 Potengi

Drive to Potengi. Morning and afternoon sessions in the Potengi area’s dry forest. It is good area with feeders where we can shot endemic Caatinga Cacholote, endemic Pygmy Nightjar, Caatinga (Cactus) Parakeet, endemic Broad-tipped Hermit, endemic Spot-Backed Puffbird, Spotted and Tawny Piculet (endemics), Silvery-cheeked and Caatinga Barred Antshrike, Great Xenops. Ruby-throated Tanager comes to feeders with Bay-winged Cowbird and Campo Troupial, Curl-crested jay and many other birds

Day 4 – Canudos

Drive to Canudos (around 4-5 hours with stops). Afternoon visit to Lear’s Macaw Reserve. This place is unique place in the world for endemic Indigo (Lear's) Macaw and easy to make most beautiful and amazing pictures. Also there are other birds of Caatinga and Blue-winged Macaw

Target birds: Lear’s Macaw, Blue-winged Macaw, Red-legged Seriema, Campo Troupial

Day 5 – Canudos / Petrolina

Morning birding in Canudos; transfer to Petrolina in the afternoon.

Target birds: Caatinga Cacholote, Broad-tipped Hermit, Stripe-breasted Starthroat

Day 6 – Flight to São Paulo

Domestic flight to São Paulo (GRU). Transfer to Ubatuba. Photography along the road

Day 7 –8 Ubatuba Feeders/trails 

Ubatuba

This area have a sufficient place which are good for Photography include many places for Hummingbirds and tanagers feeders have a big variety of birds.

After we arrive, we will spleen the time photography at the feeders and in gardens of the lodge.

Next day we will go to the amazing place where we have the amazing hummingbird and amazing Tanager Feeders.

At the next Day we will visit Ninho da Cambacica where have again fantastic feeders with one or two new species and going to the hotel again when spend all afternoon and night.

Target Birds: Channel-billed Toucan, Green-headed Tanager, Red-necked Tanager (garden birds at lodge), Saw-billed Hermit, Festive Coquette, Buff-throated Purpletuft, Brazilian Tanager, Scaled Antbird, Blond-crested Woodpecker, Bare-throated Bellbird, Spot-billed Toucanet, White-bibbed Antbird

   

Day 9, 10

Peruibe

Drive to Peruíbe, stopping en route for resting a habitat birding.

This place has amazing feeders where visit often Tanagers Woodpeckers, parrots, Jays, Toucans and many other species.

From here, we will visit the special area for endemic Red-tailed Parrot and here we can find many other species for photography.

In the night, we can Photography some species of Owls.

Target Birds: Red-tailed Amazon, Black-cheeked Gnateater, Uniform Finch, White-necked Hawk, Fork-tailed Tody-Tyrant, White-bearded Antshrike, Salvadori’s Antwren

   

Day 11

Drive to Tapiraí (approx. 3.5 hrs); afternoon birding near lodge.

 Tapirai.

Also, have a spectacular feeders and points for photographers. Here is a famous place with feeders where often visit tanagers, Parrots, Woodpeckers, and Toucans here is the special an endemic Saffron Toucanet.

Target Birds: Dusky-throated Hermit, White-throated Spadebill, Ochre-faced Tody-Flycatcher,

  

 

 

Day 12,13

Transfer to Ilha Comprida with stops for wetland birds on the way.

Ilha Comprida.

This place is a lake where we can take a pictures of the beautiful Scarlet Ibis and other water birds.

Target Birds: Yellow-legged Tinamou, Black-capped Donacobius, Long-winged Harrier, Scarlet Ibis, White-faced Whistling-Duck, Striped Owl, Brazilian Teal

 

 

 

Day 14,15

Juquitiva.

This palace is a Family place where have wonderful feeders where is possible to see number of Hummingbirds, Tanagers, Toucans and Woodpeckers rarities and endemics like a Red Breasted Toucan, Rufous headed Tanager, Black-legged Dacnis and others.

     

 

Day 16

Early birding session; transfer back to São Paulo Airport for departures.
