In the Northwest of South America, washed by the Pacific Ocean, sheltered by the freshness of the Andes and covered with a thousand colors with the Ecuador Amazon is a very small country with only 256,370 square km. But with a great biodiversity, so much so, that Ecuador was nominated as a mega diverse country. Keep in mind there are more than 1650 species of birds, which occupy multiple ecosystems or regions such as Choco region, Central Andes, Northern Amazonia, Amazonia south of Tumbes and Marañon region.

In a few hours from the capital, Quito, we will be able to find many spectacular places for bird photography and bird watching. Within minutes, we could find different ecological zones, which is why Ecuador is one of the best hot spots for birding activity in South America. There will also be the opportunity to admire the majestic volcanoes with its beautiful glaciers.

We may also observe the culture of Otawalo if we have an extra day in our itinerary. Here we can buy some souvenirs.

The Republic of Kazakhstan situated in the heart of Eurasia is the world’s ninth-largest country with a territory of 2,725,000 km2. It is bordered by southern Russia, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. Kazakhstan has a very wide variety of natural and ecological habitats unlike any other country. There are 60% of plains (steppes, deserts), 30% of hummocks, and 10% of mountains and foothills. The Western Tien Shan, Northern Tien Shan, Dzungaria region and Altai are the largest mountainous regions in Kazakhstan. There are two “seas” which were lakes originally (Caspian Sea and Aral Sea). Here are unique mountain lakes like Big Almaty, Issyk, and Kolsay. In addition, saline lakes with special structure of water as Balkhash, Alakol, lakes of Borovoye. The diversity of landscapes includes big mountains with magnificent gorges and white-capped peaks, different types of steppes, coniferous and foliated forests, big lakes and rivers. This unique location provides a rich combination of flora and fauna. Kazakhstan counts about 500 species of birds, 396 of them are breeding.  This list includes some birds that are difficult or impossible to see elsewhere. The mammals count 178 species, the most interesting of them being Saiga, Snow Leopard, Persian Gazelle, Asian Wild Ass, Ibex, and Argali.

Peru is located to the Northwest of South America with an area of 1285215.6 square km bordered by Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile. A large portion of the Andes mountain range is in Peru, which has created a completely different type of wildlife with many endemic species.

Peru Andes is undesirable one of the more beautiful places in the planet. The amazing cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra provide amazing landscape and unique places for photography.

Peru is the number 2 in the world with the big list of the birds there are more than 1800 species of birds , of which 180 are endemic and distributed in various ecosystems such as:

Central Andes, 
Pacific Coast, 
Maranon, 
Northern Amazonia, 
Southern Amazon, 
Tumbes, 
The Condor Cordillera range

Plus a small influence of Yungas and savanna. There is an area that is rarely described, the mountains and valleys of the Sierra in which there are some new species.

It also has large lakes such as Titicaca and Junín. They also have a few endemics.
Peru is a good destination for bird watchers, which we will be delighted with the number of species observed in only a few days. We want to explore this country. In addition, we will have the opportunity closely to observe ancient cultures that invite us to learn about them.
